Compatibility
There are 5 versions of Philips Hue LightStrip, many with differing connectors.  There are 3 revisions of Lightstrip Plus, there is Gradient Lightstrip and also a Solo Lightstrip.  Most versions have 2 different sized connectors, the Control Box socket and the LightStrip Extension connector, making 3 different cable combinations for each of the 5 versions.  That’s 15 different cables, plus splitters.

As all these cables are made to order, please ensure this cable is compatible with your LightStrip and connects between your intended sockets/connectors.

This is 4 pin LightStrip connector and a 4 pin LightStrip Socket connector for Philips Hue GRADIENT LightStrip.  This is to add a Male Plug to the start of a LightStrip offcut and a female socket to the end of a cut LightStrip.  The male pins as-well as the inside of the female sockets are gold plated.

Why throw away LightStrip offcuts you could use elsewhere for a minimum cost?  These will help you to convert an offcut of Philips Hue GRADIENT LightStrip to an Extension LightStrip.

Most other pin strips sold on ebay are of the wrong pitch size (2.54mm Pitch Spacing, rather than what is actually required).

Please note that these pins are intended to be soldered to the lightstrip.  You cannot connect 2 Gradient lightstrips back to back.

These can be soldered onto a Gradient LightStrip. The Solder Points are every 50cm.
Soldering
The pins will need to be soldered to a cut end.  This will then add a male plug to the start of a LightStrip and a female socket to the end of a LightStrip.

It is recommended that rather than cutting the strip at the cut line, you instead take them apart with a soldering iron.  This will give you more surface area to solder onto.
